Dark Chamber
In the works "Dark Chamber" I examines aspects of identity through pre-photographic, almost primitive means: a combination of death masks (of living people) and camera obscura. The figures of the artist and his father given in these boxes, dependent on the temporary and elusive lighting and the creation of the momentary image that immediately disappears as the light turns off, serve as a metaphor for the longing over to the past, a countermovement in the face of the accelerated digital development, in which it seems that we are getting lost.
