Asaf Gam Hacohen

Bio

Asaf Gam Hacohen is an artist, curator, and lecturer based in Tel Aviv. He holds an M.A. in Cultural Studies from Tel Aviv University and a B.F.A. in Cinema Studies and Practical Engineering in Photography and Digital Media from Sapir College.
 

Since 2011, his work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Israel, the UAE, and across Europe, including at the Tel Aviv-Jaffa City Museum, MUZA – Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv, Ashdod Museum of Art, Ein Harod Museum of Art, Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Villa Croce (Genoa), the Jewish Museum Frankfurt, and Galerie Mémoire de l'Avenir (Paris). His work has been reviewed in Haaretz, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and Frankfurter Rundschau. He participated in the ViaFarini artist residency in Milan.
 

Recent commissions include Mirage #3 (The Island), commissioned for the Tel Aviv-Jaffa City Museum (opening October 2026); and Restless Ground, a collaborative installation created with the artist Ragad Suaed for the Fresh Paint Art Fair (Tel Aviv, June 2026).
 

His work is held in numerous private collections and in the permanent collection of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and is currently on display at embassies and consulates worldwide. In 2017, he received the Israel Ministry of Culture Award for Artistic Creativity.
